A sustainable organisation makes for long-term project delivery
The members have almost 25 years of development and funding experience and we believe that project sustainability can happen with the right partners.
KMS College has a number of accredited computer literacy and advanced IT courses that are ready to deliver to suitably assessed candidates (with a focus on, but not exclusively for people with disabilities).
A fully accessible computer centre has been set up in central Durban for this program.
We do not fool ourselves with delusional targets as the funding cycles of the larger grant makers are often forward planned and can take time to secure a slot on their funding lists. With this in mind we are focusing on generating an income to sustain us going forward. Some of our plans include:-
PLACING PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ON LEARNERSHIPS
A number of people have already been placed on learnerships through Malangeni, plus we have assisted in a further one hundred people with disabilities being enrolled in a current learnership.
These and other graduates will form a pool of work seekers that will be available to potential Employers.
FRESH VEGETABLES
Farm De Mist has given us the opportunity to establish and maintain a vegetable garden for our own use.

“Malangeni Team Building” has been born out of a partnership between the disabled residents who have team building experience with various companies and a successful team building business.
A full range of equipment is now at Malangeni ready to be erected and we are now taking bookings.

SPRING WATER BOTTLING PLANT ON THE PROPERTY
(possible - mid to late 2019)
We are currently investigating the feasibility of using the spring water on the Malangeni property to bottle water for resale. We know the quality is good, but need to establish the flow to decide on whether the investment (by an interested partner) is warranted.
